A change of position has been suggested for Zambian International, Lazarous Kambole(27) to boost his chances of regular game time at Kaizer Chiefs.
According to Soccer Laduma, since joining Chiefs from Zambian topflight club Zesco United in 2019, Kambole has struggled for regular game time and to replicate the form that made him a household name back home.

Even though Kaizer Chiefs striker Lazarous Kambole's move to Young Africans SC has been stalled over the player’s wage demands. His fans were asked what they think of the sudden change and how they think Chiefs will take it.
Brandy Mukuma (20) said that;" He is always benched so he doesn't help the team, basically and they are paying him for nothing. If he leaves there is gonna be a foreign space meaning that Chiefs will be able to buy other players from foreign countries”, she further continues to say that Lazarus is a striker, who can play more than 22 games without a single goal.
“If he leaves, chiefs might get someone who will score the goals and help them win cause they last won a cup in 2015”, said Brandy.
Ofenste Lesibu (19) said that from the perspective of a Chiefs fan, seeing a player leave is never nice but him leaving the club is actually beneficial to it and it’s also an advantage to Lazarous, as a player because he wasn’t getting enough game time, and when he did get the game time he didn't really score.
Ofenste explained that he doesn’t think Lazarous has a goal under him in chiefs and that they are not going to play him over Samir Nurković or anyone else. Ofenste said that Lazarous is basically getting paid to sit on the bench but he had commented on Lazarous’s impressing capabilities and a good play but he could not overlook the fact that Lazarous could do better as a player and elsewhere.
Ofentse further stated, “Maybe the chiefs will sign him back at a later stage but currently, I feel like he’s just not well fitted for the team that we have right now. Lazarous is just out of shape, out of form, and he is just not right. He doesn’t fit the shape, the form and the style of football that Chiefs want to play”.
‘It’s just a phase, it will pass,” said Lazarous Kambole as he hopes to resurrect his career in an interview with IOL.
