Feminism. And people's Misconception of it.

Feminism.

The promotion of women's rights on the basis of gender equality. It is the belief in social, economic, and political equality of the sexes. Feminism is manifested worldwide and is represented by various institutions committed to the activity on behalf of women's rights and interests.

Feminism can be simplified as a woman wanting or fighting for the same rights as the male population. Equal rights, regardless of gender.

It seems that people do not understand the definition because the more the topic of feminism is discussed, the more the definition loses its significance.

If someone links feminism with anything other than gender equality, such as males cheating, it defeats the entire point because that is not what it is. The more people associate feminism with the wrong idea, the more the meaning of feminism is lost. It's the same thing with Toxic Femininity.

Toxic Feminity according to News18.com, is when women use their gender to obtain certain privileges. When noxious, indirect modes of confrontation are masked with gentleness, or when empathy turns into ethical shortsightedness. For example, a woman who cries wolf. When a woman cries out to the public about indignation, she immediately gains the empathy of hundreds regardless of whether the statement is true or not.

Toxic femininity is defined as working for the benefit of others while neglecting one's own needs. Depression, weariness, or radically absurd solutions to hard situations can all be symptoms.”(When writers say "to the good of others," they almost usually mean "to the profit of men.")

From a scientific standpoint, the causal relationship between gendered conduct and the projected harmful effects is unexplained, meshed, or disregarded in practically every presentation of toxic femininity (and toxic masculinity) because it is said to be “self-evident,” at least to the author.

I cannot stress this enough, people need to be educated or have a certain knowledge about feminism before diving right into a discussion, where you will voice out your opinion.

Everyone has the right to their own view, but I believe that if you don't understand what's being discussed, it's better to listen and learn than to say anything misleading and lead to misunderstanding.
